The name Rainmaking
We chose the name Rainmaking because it symbolises growth, development and prosperity.
In English speaking countries, being a rainmaker is synonymous with being particularly successful and creating significant results. An example of this is the Hollywood film, "The Rainmaker" in which Matt Damon plays a young lawyer who wins a huge case against all odds.
The idea of the rainmaker is originally a Native American concept, by which the eldest tribal leaders had the distinguished job of conjuring up rain in times of drought by doing a rain dance – hence the name, "rainmaker".
This name energises us, as it sets high expectations while maintaining playful and imaginative elements.
